Help for “Navigation Canceled”: “Navigation to the webpage was canceled”
This notification will appear if:
- You cancelled the download of web content by either pressing the Escape (Esc) key, or pressing the red cross “Stop” button on the toolbar at the top of the Internet Explorer window.
- Only some of the content on a web page was secured (using HTTPS, rather than HTTP). You would have been given the option of viewing insecure content, but the default option in Internet Explorer 8 is to block such content, so it is easy to have blocked that content. Usually it is safe to view insecure content because it is usually images (which are bulky and so incur significant cryptographic overhead to secure) and the text forms that are used to send your private information will still be secured.
